About This Place

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Mickey's Downtown Bistro offers a uniquely inviting blend of Mediterranean, American, Greek, Italian, and Middle Eastern cuisines, making it a true culinary gem for both locals and visitors. This charming bistro-cocktail bar seamlessly combines a warm, family-friendly atmosphere with the sophisticated touch of a piano bar, creating an all-encompassing dining experience rich in flavor and ambiance.

The moment you step inside Mickey’s, you sense the passion poured into every dish and drink. The menu is a thoughtfully curated journey through a diverse palette of tastes—from the briny freshness of Clams Casino and the vibrant zest of the Greek Salad to the sumptuous, slow-cooked richness of Lamb Chops and the delicate, melt-in-your-mouth perfection of Beef Carpaccio. For those craving heartier fare, the Chicken Marsala is a standout, marrying tender chicken with a savory mushroom wine sauce that reviewers like Lisa Rose praise as “very tasty.”

One can’t help but be drawn to the signature Mediterranean Mixed Grill Brochettes, a satisfying array of Angus rib eye, chicken kebab, lamb kofta, and shawarma, beautifully balanced with grilled vegetables and traditional sides such as Batata Harra and Amba. It’s a dish that promises and delivers a bold spectrum of Mediterranean flavors that excite every bite.

For lighter fare or an inspired appetizer, the array of hummus bowls beckons food lovers seeking freshness and creativity—from the earthy, comforting Shrooms Hummus topped with caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms, to the heartier Hummus Falafel or protein-rich Chicken Shawarma Hummus. Each bowl exemplifies Mickey’s commitment to fresh, authentic ingredients and bold flavor combinations.

The drink menu is equally compelling, with expertly crafted cocktails like the famously smoky Smoked Old Fashioned and the crisp elegance of their Midnight Martini. Bartender Shawn, celebrated by guests for his outstanding five-star service, adds a personal touch that elevates every visit.

What truly sets Mickey's Downtown Bistro apart is not just the exceptional food and drinks, but the electric ambiance. Whether you’re drawn in by the live piano performances or the lively Saturday disco nights, the bistro pulses with a joyful energy that keeps guests coming back. Melody’s description of the pianist as “hilarious and really talented” perfectly captures the inviting social vibe, while Zonia Sanchez’s experience on disco night confirms Mickey’s as a must-visit hotspot for fun, excellent food, and accommodating service—especially for those with dietary needs.

Mickey’s doesn’t just serve meals; it crafts memorable experiences wrapped in hearty, flavorful dishes, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that feels like the perfect blend of comfort and celebration. Whether you’re intimate dining, enjoying a family night out, or catching a spirited live show, Mickey’s Downtown Bistro feels like a welcoming retreat where food, music, and good times harmonize beautifully.

With generous portions, seasonal happy hour deals offering up to 40% off, and a staff that consistently goes the extra mile, Mickey’s captures that rare balance of quality, value, and authentic enjoyment. Shawn, the bartender was amazing. He provided welcoming great five star service. The ambience is really nice. I especially loved the smoked old-fashioned drink, it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Caesar salad with anchovies. The dinner, Chicken Marsala was very tasty. I recommend this restaurant.

This place was amazing. We were walking by and thought we would try the sweet happy hour deal. We quickly discovered the food was amazing. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the guy playing the piano was hilarious and really talented. We had a hard time leaving because it was so fun! Definitely our new favorite place.

Great food and so much fun! Been back many times and always a blast! Last night took some friend to disco night and they loved it! Food was fantastic as always, so consistent. Our server was great and so accommodating with me as I have dietary restrictions. Seriously one of the best in Broward and a must for fun times on Saturday disco night!

This is place is a MUST go. I wasn’t expecting much from Mickey’s because of the the location and you arrive the interior is kinda dated. However the money was spent on the quality of FOOD. The portions are huge! We had so much food. The best part was during Happy Hour the food and drinks are 40% during summer months. You really have to go!!!

What a night!!! We happened upon Mickey’s, on the alternate Elvis Sunday, so we missed the dueling Pianos, but we’re not disappointed we still had a full show! The food was 100% made for each and every order. We really got lucky walking into this place last night, and normally I don’t indulge in desserts but their cheesecake was amazing. The atmosphere and vibe was such an experience and the staff and service were a hit. If you are looking for a show and great food, highly recommend stopping by.

Wow, big free parking lot. We walked in and we sat at the bar. It was early. We started off with a few drinks. I then ordered there Wednesday special which was a 16 ounce steak potato. $32.99 . G had the other special which was the pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and some broccoli. We were served bread, and butter.all good

Had a great time at Mickey’s bistro on Disco night! The place is lively and fun! The food was Amazing! Huge portions and beautifully presented. Had the shrimp appetizer, shish-kebob and lamb lollipops. Perfectly cooked. Service was excellent. DJ was Spot on with his picks which made the whole night super fun and special and brought back some great memories of the 70’s! A great place to dance and enjoy yourself. Definitely recommend!
